In this Dialogue, we talk to Samarth Setia and Phil Plourd about their journey of making Mr Milkman and empowering dairy farmers by helping them manage customer subscriptions and deliveries with unrivalled efficiency.

Samarth launched Mr. Milkman with the intent to solve the problems of inefficiencies in the dairy sector in India. He worked with local milkmen in India to understand their challenges and co-created a SaaS platform to help local milkmen become smarter businessmen. Mr. Milkman evolved over time into an end-to-end distribution management system and an order management system that allows its customers not only with optimisation but also helps various dairies to keep up with the trends of the industry by introducing better technology to other aspects of their business. The platform ensures that there is an adequate application of modern facilities in the dairy industry. Today, the company has over 120 clients from across India.

Being a technology enthusiast, Samarth is happy that he has been successful in transforming the Indian Dairy industry and making it a better place to work for many. For his dedicated efforts and entrepreneurship, he has been recognised by Forbes Asia and India in their 30under30 category – India’s young disruptors and game-changers.

In 2021, the company was acquired by America’s largest independent dairy technology, services, and intelligence provider, Dairy.com which is now EverAg – a new company dedicated to empowering agriculture, food and beverage supply chains to feed a growing world.
